Life Story for Vivian Augutha Clayton

Mrs. Vivian Augutha Clayton, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday January 28, 2017 at Wesley Place following an extended illness.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday January 31, 2017 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Randy Stokes officiating and Kendall Glover directing.

The family will be receiving friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday at Glover Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Place (Martin Wing), 718 Honeysuckle Rd., Dothan, AL. 36305 or to Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL. 36305.

Mrs. Clayton was born on December 23, 1926 in Webb the daughter of James Thomas Clayton and Carrie Victorie Brown Clayton. She worked as a seamstress with Dothan Manufacturing for 10 years and later worked in retail with Frances Fashions, Leon’s and with Hallmark. Mrs. Clayton was a member of Beulah Baptist Church (Grace Point) and was a Past member of the Ladies of the ELKS. Floyd and Vivian are now together in Heaven celebrating their 72 year Wedding Anniversary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd J. Clayton and son-in-law, David P. Reynolds; 1 sister and 5 brothers.

Survivors include: daughter, Beverlye Clayton Reynolds, Dothan; 3 grandchildren, Marea (Joel) Sizemore, Dothan; Brian (Heather) Reynolds, Eufaula; Candace (Paul) Grantham, Headland; 6 great-grandchildren, Noah Zimmerman, Liberty Hill, Tx.; Clayton Sizemore, Dothan; Hunter Reynolds and Abigail Reynolds, Eufaula; McKinley & Ella Kate Grantham, Headland; several nieces & cousins; 1 sister-in-law, Lucille Clayton, Ft. Smith, Arkansas.

Active pallbearers will be: Joel Sizemore, Paul Grantham, Brian Reynolds, Hunter Reynolds, Clayton Sizemore and Denny McKinnon. Honorary pallbearers will be: Noah Zimmerman and Joel Ridley.
