Obituary for Billy Joe Weston
Mr. Billy Joe Weston, age 90, a resident of Dothan (formerly of Louisville) died Friday January 22, 2021 at Westside Terrace in Dothan after an extended illness.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2021 at Louisville Cemetery with Reverend Don Highland officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Dothan directing. Due to Covid 19, friends and family are welcome to attend but the family requests that you remain in your vehicles during the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions may be made to the Louisville Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 4, Louisville, AL, 36048.
Mr. Weston was born on June 15, 1930 in Louisville the son of George Heyward Weston and Vera Hagler Weston. He was a lifelong resident of Louisville and was retired self-employed farmer. Mr. Weston was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was a member of Louisville Baptist Church. He loved spending time with his family. Also, he enjoyed watching sports and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Truitt Green Weston; granddaughter, Vera Jane Weston.
Survivors include: 2 sons, Joe Weston (Starla), Dothan; William George (Bill) Weston (Heather), Birmingham; 3 grandchildren, Allyson Weston McLaney (Jeff), Dothan; Vivienne Marie Weston and Heyward Von Weston, both of Birmingham; 1 great-grandson, William Weston McLaney, Dothan; a sister, Margaret Stanaland, Montgomery; several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thanks to all of the Staff at Westside Terrace.
