Obituary for Bobby Lee Cook

A CELEBRATION OF 87 YEARS OF LIFE…

Bobby Lee Cook

Not only was Bobby a big Auburn fan, but he also loved to watch WWE Wrestling. He made sure
to call family members to let them know what time and channel so they could watch also.
Bobby was truly a happy go lucky kind of guy who made everyone feel good inside. He enjoyed
spending time at the Jaxon Life Senior Center, playing Dominoes and getting his daily steps in
with his wife, whom he called, Lee. He took such wonderful care of Lee, until she recently
passed away.

They had a beautiful home in Eufaula and were members of Sardis Freewill Baptist Church.
Bobby loved his church family dearly and continued to attend even after he was admitted to
Crown Health Care Facility. His close friends Jerry Marshall and Dylan Patterson were gracious enough to pick him up for church every Sunday.

Although Bobby never had any children of his own, he gained many children and grandchildren during his 15-year marriage to Mamie Lee. It’s been said that “Blood makes us related” …but greater still…” love makes us family”. Bobby was most definitely loved and truly considered a grandfather and great grandfather.

Bobby Lee Cook was born in Eufaula, Alabama on April 14, 1935, to the late Willie Henry and
Annie Mae Gilmore Cook. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife,
Katie Jane Cook, his second wife, Mamie Lee Cook, his three sisters, Lena Mae Tew, Elizabeth
Brutkiewicz, Bettie Parrish, and his only brother, William (Billy) Cook. Bobby retired from Walled Lake Door Factory in Tupelo, Mississippi. He was also a salesman for Watkins and Mason Shoes prior to his retirement.

Survivors include stepson, Howard Glover (Faye); six grandchildren, Eric Glover (Bonnie), Kendall
Glover (Caroline), Brett Glover (Stephanie), Danny Long (Sharon), Daun Pittman, David Long
(Kristin); twelve great-grandchildren, Erin Christman (Chad), Trevor Dowling (Brandy), Allie
