Obituary for Brenda Sue Weeks (Patterson)
Brenda Sue Patterson Weeks, age 72, a resident of Dothan, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Flowers Hospital.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Hugh Kirkland officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 1:45 on Saturday prior to services.
Brenda was born December 28, 1948, in Dothan, Alabama to Herbert and Vernell Patterson. She was a graduate of Dothan High School and worked as a teacher’s assistant in Dothan City Schools for over 15 years prior to her retirement. She loved her students as if they were her own. She enjoyed watching Auburn football, and spending time at the beach with her kids and grandkids, she always said she loved them “bunches and bunches”. Brenda was a member of Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Webb.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her infant brother.
Survivors include her husband, Robert R. Weeks, Jr. of Dothan; daughters, Kim Moye of Orlando, Florida, Michelle Jordan (Rusty) of Ashford; grandchildren, Cody Weeks, Callie Jordan, Myles Moye, Gavin Moye, Hudson Moye; special uncle Joe Gouge of Webb; grand fur babies and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Serving as active pallbearers will be Myles Moye, Cody Weeks, Gavin Moye, Hudson Moye, Taylor Weeks, Rusty Jordan and Evan Sweeney.
