Obituary for Carolyn Elaine Draughon (Welch)
Carolyn Welch Draughon, 72, formerly of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in Florida.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2019 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Billy Fortune officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery (Hwy 52) with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday. Flowers will be accepted.
Ms. Draughon was born October 31, 1946 in Hartford, Alabama to Willie Earl and Lallie Mathis Welch. She attended Geneva County High School. She worked at Lab Corp for several years and was of the Baptist faith.
She is predeceased by her parents; a daughter, Pamela Roxanne Stevens; two sisters, Mary Harrison and Vivian Bond.
She is survived by three sons, Kevin B. Stevens (Paula) of Middleburg, FL, Kyle Stevens (Melissa) of Jacksonville, FL and Scott Kimbrell (Stacey) of Wicksburg, AL; a brother, Dan Welch (Judy) of Wicksburg; four sisters, Eileen Miller (Jimmy) of Hartford, Janet Singletary (Larry) of Dothan, Brenda Kent (Gerald) of Midland City and Nell Baker (Bill) of Enterprise; four grandchildren, Dylan Stevens, Haley Stevens, Maria Stevens and Katerina Norton; a great-grandchild, Esther Grace Norton; several nieces and nephews.
