Obituary for Christopher Paul Sawyer
Mr. Christopher Paul Sawyer, age 54, a resident of Slocomb, died Thursday, June 13, 2019, following a brief illness.
A gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 12 noon until 2 pm at the home of Kay Helms, 172 N. Foster St., Slocomb, AL, 36375.
The family will accept flowers or food.
Mr. Sawyer was born on January 19, 1965, in Columbus, Georgia the son of Bobby James Sawyer and Mary Estelle Lassiter Sawyer. He lived his early years in Columbus and Conyers, Georgia and lived his teenage years and adulthood in Slocomb. Paul worked as an auto body technician and was a member of the Hartford Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: sister, Kay Helms (John), Slocomb; brother, James Michael Sawyer, Slocomb; nephews and niece, Chad Helms, Travis Helms, Katy Helms and Brian Childree; several aunts and uncles.
