Obituary for Claudia Rodgers Schulz

Claudia Lee Rodgers Schulz, 63, of Dothan, Alabama, is at peace, and finally made whole through Christ on July 30, 2020. She and her family embraced the belief that the only way to experience true peace, love and satisfaction in our lives is to know and have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Claudia, was born October 26, 1956 in Austin, Texas. She grew up in Austin, and moved to Kingwood with her family her senior year. She studied art at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas where she met and fell in love with Ed. Claudia, while dating, was instrumental in bringing her own loving husband, Ed, to the Lord. They married at the end of her freshman year. She was a beautiful and loving wife to Ed Schulz, and mother to two precious children, Ethan and Becca. She was also mother in law to Becca’s husband, Ben Begley of Scappoose, Oregon, and affectionate grandmother “Lee Lee” to Barnabas, Abe & Fionn Begley. She also practiced for many years as a transcriptionist with several firms and practices.
Outside of her main calling as a mother and housewife, Claudia was a marvelous artist and musician and home veterinarian to several beloved pets. She left all of us with a greater appreciation for God’s creation, and a taste of His brilliant creativity in and through her work. When Claudia came into the room, the party came with her. Her smile, charm and loving heart enriched every life she touched.
Despite Claudia’s many health problems, she would want others to know that Jesus was the most important person in her life and that Jesus bore her sins, and provided each human being a way to live forever with Him.
She was preceded in death by her little sister, Dorothy Nell Belew in 1998, and her father, Wayne R Rodgers in 2016, whom she sorely missed and dearly loved. Claudia is also survived by her mother, Rebecca Joan Rodgers of Kingwood, Texas, her brother, Gordon Wyatt Rodgers of Ft. Worth, Texas, her sister Becky Sue Rodgers Stephens of Spring, Texas, mother in law, Joan Schulz of Deatsville, Alabama, and brother and sister in law, David and Linda Schulz and Jonathan their son, from Prattville, Alabama.
There will be no funeral services due to the Covid Epidemic, but there may be a memorial service in Texas later in the year. Our hope is that you would be encouraged by Claudia’s life to pass her love and the spark she added to life onto others who are in need right now.
