Obituary for Darlene Ellen Peters Hallford
Darlene Ellen Peters Hallford, age 69, a resident of Dothan, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Michael and Jeanne Sigler officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 1:45 pm on Wednesday prior to services.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, 6520 N. Andrews Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33309-2132
Darlene was born June 2, 1953, in Boston, Massachusetts to Doris Utecht and adopted by the late Ed and Louise Peters. She moved to Dothan at a young age and was a graduate of Dothan High School and a graduate of Wallace Community College with her Associates degree in computer science. Darlene worked at Southeast Alabama Medical Center for many years. She loved her family and her plants. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church of Dothan.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Lamar Hallford of Dothan; son, Ryan Hallford of Dothan; daughter, Shannah Loper (Jonathan) of Headland; brother, Daniel Peters (Peggy) of Troy; three half-sisters, Judy Husted of Milton, NY, Carol Utecht of Rio Rancho, NM, Barbara Colandrea (Gary) of Newburgh, NY; two grandchildren, Summer Loper, Winter Loper; several nieces and nephews.
