Obituary for Debra Lynn Speigner (Smith)
Mrs. Debra Lynn (Smith) Speigner, age 60, a resident of Dothan, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at her residence.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, December 6, 2021, at Glover Funeral Home with Reverend Juston Carpenter officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 9:00 A.M. until 9:45 A.M.
Mrs. Speigner was born May 8, 1961, in Dothan, Alabama to Jennings Earl Smith and Jennette Smith, and lived most of her life in Houston County. She was the Salutatorian of the 1979 Wicksburg High School graduating class. Mrs. Speigner worked for King Church Furniture for 16 years as a laborer and was a member of Winslett Chapel Church in Wicksburg.
She is predeceased in death by her parents and a sister, Gloria Carpenter.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Speigner of Midland City; two daughters, Shena Hicks of Wicksburg, Misty Kelley (Zane) of Wicksburg; one stepdaughter, Talisa Hatcher (Jeremy) of Slocomb; three grandchildren, Zeke Kelly, Ella Grace Kelley, and Zaven Spires; three step-grandchildren, Hanna Hatcher, Leah Hatcher, and James Hatcher; one nephew, Juston Carpenter (April).
