Elizabeth “Jill” Harper Bolden, a longtime resident of Dothan, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Westside Terrace. She was 78.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Pastor Troy West officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
Mrs. Bolden was born December 20, 1944 in Tennessee and grew up in Jesup, Georgia. After graduating from Wayne County High School, she attended Valdosta State University. She worked with Bob Ellis at Ellis Floor Covering for fifteen years as manager and later worked with Barnett Hudson as manager of Hudson Office Supply for over twenty years. Following retirement, Mrs. Bolden enjoyed reading and her quiet time. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is predeceased by her parents, Simm Curtis and Mabel Price Harper.
Survivors include two sons, Marion Bruce Bolden, Jr. (April) of Jackson, Wyoming and Bradley Curtis Bolden (Twyla Welch) of Dothan; two grandchildren, Syd Bolden and Katie Bolden, both of Jackson, Wyoming; a sister-in-law, Barbara Ellen Murrah of Bainbridge, Georgia.
