Obituary for Bernice Green
Ellen Bernice Beaty Green, age 90, a resident of Dothan, passed away August 29, 2021, at Extendicare Health Care Center.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm, Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Dr. Cecil Sanders officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. All masking and social distancing guidelines will be observed. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Dothan Rescue Mission, P.O. Box 6691, Dothan, Alabama, 36302.
Mrs. Green was born December 12, 1930, in Barbour County, Alabama to Lang Beaty and Ruth Hovey Beaty. She worked with the Dothan Rescue Mission for many years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Mrs. Green is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Dewitt Green, her sister, Carolyn Campbell, and her grandson, Heath Hicks.
Survivors include her sons, Anthony Green (Sharon) of Headland, Alabama, O’Neal Green (Paula) of Montgomery, Alabama; a daughter, Joan Hicks (Steve) of Ashford, Alabama; a sister, Elizabeth Spires of Panama City, Florida; grandchildren, Neal Dichiara, Hayden Hicks, Meredith Green, Blair Beard, Morgan Green, Jamie Goodwin; eight great-grandchildren.
