Obituary for Floyd Earl Wilson

Floyd Earl Wilson, 70, a resident of Dothan, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his family.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Rev. Murray Kelley and Rev. Mark Benson officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the graveside services.

Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to Dothan First Assembly of God Church, “Missions Fund”, P O Box 734, Dothan, Alabama, 36302.

Mr. Wilson was born January 12, 1952 in Dothan to Woodrow Floyd and Mary Kirkland Wilson. He was a 1970 graduate of Wicksburg High School. He served as a cook in the National Guard and has continued his love of cooking for all of his family and friends. Mr. Wilson was a member of Dothan First Assembly of God Church.

Mr. Wilson is predeceased by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sue Braswell Wilson of Dothan; a son, Greg Wilson (April) of Dothan; a daughter, Karla Mims (Jeff) of Kinsey; grandchildren, Anna Grace Wilson, Claira Wilson, Laura Kate Wilson, Jeff Mims (Heather) and Misty Wheeler (Mike); a sister, Edna Branch of Midland City.
