Obituary for Gerry Ralph Draughon (Draughon)
Gerry Ralph Draughon, age 64, resident of Dothan, died Monday, March 2, 2020 at Southeast Health after an extended illness.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2020 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel in Dothan with Pastor Troy West officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. prior to service time on Friday.
Gerry was born on October 11, 1955 in San Antonio, Texas the son of Glendon Ralph Draughon and Myrtle Lee Guy Draughon. In early years Gerry lived in Delaware, Okinawa, Japan, and Dothan while his father was serving in Military. Mr. Draughon was a 1974 Graduate of Dothan High School. He served in U.S. Navy for 3 years and then worked with his family as an electrician.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Larry Draughon.
Survivors include: 2 sisters, Tina Clay (Steve), Newton; Wanda Parker (Basil), Pansey; 2 brothers, Guy Timothy Draughon (Lisa), Rehobeth; Ronnie Lynn Draughon (Cathy), Taylor; numerous nieces and one nephew.
Active pallbearers will be: Hayes Parker, Johnny Causey, Christian Sanders, Timmy Draughon, Basil Parker and Ron Anderson.
