Greg was born on December 11, 1963 in Stuttgart, Germany to Robert and Edythe Setzer and resided in various places during his father's military career. He was a 1982 graduate of Enterprise High School and served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was a master automobile technician at Proformance Car Care Center, which he built from the ground up while ministering the love of God to his employees and customers. His favorite hobby was building models from the series Star Trek.

He desired that others would come to know Christ and their lives would be forever changed, he carried the love of Jesus everywhere he went.

Greg was a kind and loving man with a beautiful sense of humor. His family meant everything to him, he honored and loved his father and mother and had an unwavering respect for them. He was a proud father and grandfather and cherished every moment with his family. He loved to talk about his wife, and just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her, Greg loved Teresa.

He was preceeded in Heaven by his brother, Robert William Setzer, Jr.

Leaving to cherish his memories are his wife of 29 years, Teresa Ann Michael Setzer of Dothan; a son, Richard Setzer (Emily) of Peoria, Illinois; two daughters, Sarah Setzer Bass (Brock) of Dothan and Rachel Setzer of Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren, Valern Bass, Lilyth Bass, and Remington Setzer; his parents, Robert and Edythe Setzer of Enterprise.
