Obituary for Harry Donovan Davis

Harry Donovan Davis, a resident of Dothan, died Saturday night, January 2, 2021. He was 88.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 1:30 on Saturday prior to service time.

Mr. Davis was born April 4, 1932 in Dothan to Thomas Hubert and Nancy Ingram Davis and lived most of his life in Cowarts. He was a veteran and served in the U. S. Army 21 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Davis owned and operated the One Stop Food Store for over 40 years. He attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He is predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Hilda Folsom, Fay Rawlings, Doris Taylor, Betty Lacapo and Jay Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Shanda Davis of Dothan; six children, Donovan Davis (Nina) of Dothan, Shaun Davis of Dothan, Anthony Davis of Dothan, Steve Davis (Tricia) of Puyallup, Washington, Mike Davis (Donna) of Downers Grove, Illinois; a daughter, Pam Golden (Jim) of Ronald, Washington; fourteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
