Obituary for Herbert Wendell Ryals
Herbert Wendall Ryals, 75, of Dothan, left this world and went into the arms of his heavenly father and daughter on June 30, 2019.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Kevin Knight officiating. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. (EDT) Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Camp Memorial Cemetery in Fayetteville, Georgia with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday prior to service time.
Mr. Ryals was born October 28, 1943 in Hazelhurst, Georgia. He has been a resident of Dothan for the past 14 years. He loved his Lord and served Him by being involved in Baptist children’s ministries for several years. In later years, he was actively involved in the First Church of the Nazarene.
Mr. Ryals is predeceased by his parents, several brothers and sisters and his daughter, Anna Maria Ryals Cernyar.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara R. Ryals of Dothan; two sons, Doug Ryals (Tara) and David Ryals, both of Silver Creek, Georgia; two step-sons, Roger Davis (Tracy) of Headland and Mike Davis of Malvern; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; a sister, Daryl Stanfield of Anderson, SC; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries or Transworld Radio: Hannah Project.
