Obituary for James A. "Papa Jim" Brady Sr.
James A. “Papa Jim” Brady, 76, a resident of Newton, died Thursday, July 11, 2019 at his home with his family at his side.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Brady was born February 4, 1943 in Houston County and lived most all of his life in southeast Alabama. He was an avid Alabama football Fan and NASCAR Fan.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Georgia Lee Brady of Newton and his brother David (Denise) Brady.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi Brady of Newton; his sons, Jamie (Beth) Brady of Newton, Eric (Patti) Jones of Douglas, Georgia, Scott Jones of Hernando, Florida; daughters, Collett McLendon of Crestview, Florida, Andrea Lewis of Newton, Ashley Billings of Midland City and Regina (Corey) Capone of Leslie, Georgia; his brother, Gene (Karan) Brady of Dothan; a sister, Shirley Brady Fowler of Fitzgerald, Georgia; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
