Obituary for James Earl Davis Sr.
James Earl “Termite” Davis, Sr., 88, of Ashford, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P O Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
Mr. Davis was born June 20, 1932 in Newton, Alabama to James Ellis and Foy Dee Miller Davis and grew up in the Newton and Pinckard communities. He was a long haul truck driver and later was employed as a driver with Fed Ex for 15 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Davis was of the Pentecostal faith.
Mr. Davis is survived by his wife, Sharon S. Davis of Ashford; two sons, James Earl Davis, Jr. (Stephanie) of Cowarts and Casey Davis of Malvern; two daughters, Kathrine Schulman (Donald) of Dothan and Melissa Clayton (Chris) of Ashford; his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Travis Davis (Marie) of Bonifay, FL and Paul Davis (Kai) of Midland City; two sisters, Alma Lois Scott of Summerville, SC and Betty Sue Cochran (Johnny) of Dothan; several nieces and nephews.
