We have such fond memories of Dr. Reed and Jane from New Orleans Seminary. My husband, Ken Taylor, teaches Missions at NOBTS. He was in the Doctoral program when James was a professor here. Jane taught our son, Justin in the 5th grade at Ganus School. I will always remember Dr. Reed's love for students, not just seminary students but the younger students on campus. He coached a baseball team for young guys and our son was on the team. We have some of the best memories of baseball games in which James Reed was the coach. He was so patient and kind with the boys. We are thankful for the Reed family and all that they meant to our Seminary campus

James Reed was a down to earth, caring, and sincere pastor and friend. I shall never forget his kindness and his sense of humor. I knew him at First Baptist Church in Dothan, Al, and always respected and admired him. My prayers for his family.
