Obituary for James “Jim” Whitener
James “Jim” A. Whitener (MSGT, retired), an 88-year-old Army Veteran, of Tuscumbia, Alabama, went to be with his Lord and Savior on August 21, 2021.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 am, Thursday, August 26, 2021, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Doug MacCormack officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 10:45 am at Glover Funeral Home Chapel prior to the services.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Whitener, his father, Howard Whitener, and sisters, Mariam and Mary Jo.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Ann Whitener; children, Cindy Ross, Jim Whitener, Jr., Monica Whitaker, Nova Martin, Roy Olive, Marcus Olive; multiple grandchildren also survive.
