Obituary for Janice T. Willis
Mrs. Janice T. Willis, age 76, a resident of Cottonwood, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020, at Southeast Health Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Howard Grove Church with Reverend Stan Sullivan and Reverend John Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 1pm until 1:45pm Sunday at the church prior to the services. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing.
Janice was born December 30, 1943 to the late Nolon Alfred and Mary Oswald Thompson. She worked as Executive Secretary of the History Department at Auburn University Montgomery Campus for fifteen years prior to her retirement and she was loved by all her coworkers. She is a member of the Cottonwood United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Nolan Thomas Willis; a brother, James Conrad Thompson; three grandchildren, Angela and Ashley Jones and Desiree McDonald.
Surviving are her husband Henry Thomas Willis,; Cottonwood, a son William Jason (Shirley) Willis, Dothan; two daughters, Karen (Michael) Owens, Cottonwood; Kimberly Denise (Ken) Tomlinson Iron City, GA; grandchildren, Jonathon Owens, Jessica Chancy, Logan Brown, Laura Jones, Lynsey Jones, Amy Willis , Brianna Willis, Brittany Willis, Amber Broadway, Ashley Broadway, Craig Junior Broadway, Venessa Beck and Jesse Meza; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Chancy, Grace Chancy, Dixie Meza, Destinie Meza, Desiree Beck, Justin Johnson, Jr., Jeremiah and Joshua Tomlinson, Sylas Tomlinson, Beau Brown, Ashlea Fuentes, Summer Fuentes, Jacob Chancy and Isayah Chancy.
