My heart is heavy is pain, saddest, and not understanding why this beautiful woman had to get this life taking disease
To know janie "Nana" is to love her. One of the sweetest, kindest, dedicated, and most dedicated women I've ever known.
Nana I will miss you terribly seeing you always put a smile on my face. The last in depth talk we had I had gone to her house to pick up some bags her daughter kelly made me and she said momma has them go out there, well best thing ever. We talked for a long time while she baked the second cake being the first one wasnt just right she said papa can nibble on it, as perfection in her cooking is what made her the best cook ever! But she filled me on everything I had missed while in Huntsville, most of it was a total shocker, and some I think she just needed to vent on, and I was more than happy to listen..I will cherish our talks, your advice, your love and compassion for your family is unlike I've ever known.
As your in the home of all homes know that we all will miss you down here and we all love you...untill I see you again you will be 4 ever in my heart!

Janie was a beloved and loving person. She held her family close and insisted that they be apart of each others lives which is a rare and wonderful quality. The love she gave to her family was shown in so many ways and it was something her family inspired and showed to others as they lead their lives and grew their own additions to the the family circle. Janie will be honored with the traditions she instilled in her family members. The love of family and the traditions will be carried on through her two wonderful daughter and their husbands. All of these values will trickle down to grandchild and their spouses then to the children that come out of these unions. May Our Lord Jesus Christ hold each of you family and friends in His loving and comforting arms and grant you the courage and fortitude to live and share as Janie has taught you and live as she wished for each of you.
With love and gratitude for having known Janie and each of you.

Janie Smith....a wonderful, loving, funny and courageous person. I remember the first time I met her, she was so kind and loving when she welcomed me into the family, my son Christopher Wrenn married one of her granddaughters, Whitney Reeves Wrenn, and boy was I just thrilled that Christopher had met this lovely family who had opened them arms and hearts to him and made him feel so welcomed and loved! I was so looking forward to making a strong and lasting bond with this dear person. I could tell that she was the rock of this great family and had taught her family the values that are so lacking in today’s society. I know they will do her proud and continue to live life to the fullest, just as Janie would want them to. They will continue to keep her spirit and memory alive with all the wonderful stories of Janie and her life. She was blessed with wonderful daughters who are like her and have wonderful children of their own. This family that started from Janie and Steven will continue to love and support one another, especially now...may god give you strength, comfort and peace. With love, respect and admiration.
