Obituary for Julia Frances Daughtry (Davis)
Julia Frances Davis Daughtry, of Enterprise and formerly of Blakely, Georgia, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2022 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. EDT Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Blakely First United Methodist Church, 397 College Street, Blakely, Georgia with Pastor Tucker Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Blakely City Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. on Thursday prior to service time. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the House of Ruth, 207 N. Herring Street, Dothan, AL 36303.
Mrs. Daughtry was born January 27, 1947 in Colquitt, Georgia to Felix Patrick and Elizabeth Ann Houston Davis. She lived the early years of her life in Early County, Georgia and was a 1965 graduate of Early County High School. She was a homemaker and a caregiver. Mrs. Daughtry enjoyed cooking, entertaining and spending time with her family. She was of the Methodist faith.
Mrs. Daughtry is predeceased by her parents.
Survivors include a daughter, Shanna Marie Lucas (Matthew) of Ozark; a son, Eugene Patrick Daughtry (Brittany) of Selma, NC; a sister, Patricia Tatum of Gisela, AZ; two brothers, Felix Patrick Davis III (Priscilla) and William H. Davis (Theresa) of Blakely, GA; five grandchildren, Conner Allen, Faith Lucas, Riley Daughtry, Rylan “Jace” Daughtry and Riyah Daughtry; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Eugene Patrick Daughtry, Conner Allen, Matthew Lucas, William Davis, Riley Daughtry and Billy Davis.
