Obituary for Howard Galloway
Lester “Howard” Galloway, a resident of Dothan, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 at Southeast Health Medical Center. He was 80.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 at Old Center Methodist Church Cemetery with Pastor Troy West Officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends following the graveside service. Flowers are being accepted.
Mr. Galloway was born September 2, 1941 in Echo to Tommie Lester and Pamela Spiegner. He was a graduate of Carroll High School and served his country in the Army National Guard. In 1969, he was married to Linda Fleming and they moved to Dothan where he resided the remainder of his life. Mr. Galloway was employed with Bud’s Cigar Company, later General Cigar Company for over 25 years.
He is predeceased by his parents and a sister, Rosa Blankenship.
Mr. Galloway is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Galloway of Dothan; several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Cullen Blankenship.
