Obituary for Mary Ilene Cochran (Walker)
Mary Ilene Cochran, age 73, a resident of Dothan, passed away Friday, December 25, 2020, at Southeast Health.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Glover Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Covenant Hospice, 1512 West Main Street, Dothan, Alabama, 36301.
Mary was born in Ozark on November 7, 1947 to Billy Eugene and Hazel Mathis Walker. She grew up in Dale County and later moved to Dothan. Mary worked as a sever and hostess at Larry’s BBQ for 30 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Treadwell Cochran, a brother, Dowling Walker, a sister, Trudy Compton, an infant son, Billy Warren, Jr.
Survivors include a son, John Michael Wells (Janis) of Ashford; a stepson, Mark Wayne Hall (Ferri) of Dothan; a godson, Steve Lydick of Dothan; two daughters, Susan Medelez of Dothan, Dee Gamble (Ken) of Wicksburg; best friend and sister in life, Sharon Rinehart of Webb; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
