Obituary for Matthew Scott Bolinger
Matthew Scott Bolinger, 46, a resident of Dothan, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 21, 2021 at his residence.
Celebration of Life Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Wiregrass Church with Pastors Adam Roberson and Brett Hemphill officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing.
In lieu of flowers, an Educational Fund has been established for Ian and Abby at Peoples South Bank, 2861 John D Odom Road, Dothan, AL 36303.
Matthew was born February 18, 1975 in Pensacola, Florida to William and Barbara Bolinger. He was an Eagle Scout and was a 1993 graduate of Chatfield High School in Littleton, Colorado. Matthew received his Bachelor’s Degree of Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He has been the Manager of Engineering Services at Covenant Steel in Dothan since 2010. Matthew was an active member of Wiregrass Church in Dothan.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Emily Bolinger, Dothan; son, Ian Bolinger, Dothan; daughter, Abigail Bolinger, Dothan; parents, William and Barbara Bolinger of Alamitos, CA; sister, Jean Bolinger; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Pat Crosson, Littleton, CO; sister-in-law, Jill Cochran (K.C.) Hebron, KY; nieces and nephews, Sydney Avalos, Jess Cochran, Clare Cochran, Cody Cochran, Riley Cochran.
