Obituary

Mr. Melvin Eugene “Bo” Johnson, age 74, a resident of Ozark (Asbury Community), died early Saturday September 14, 2019 at his residence.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday September 15, 2019 at the Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Tara Chamblee officiating and Glover Funeral Home of Dothan directing.

Mr. Johnson was born on October 23, 1944 in Atmore the son of Alton Eugene Johnson and Barbara Gladys Lucas Johnson. He was a 1963 graduate of Escambia County High School in Atmore and a 1968 graduate of Troy State University where he received a degree in Marketing and Business Administration. Mr. Johnson was retired after 42 years as a Independent Contractor with Dumas where he sold Church pews, flooring, stained glass windows and steeples. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was a former resident of Eufaula.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Bryan Neal Johnson; a brother-in-law, Rodney Dasinger; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Cullen F. Skipper and Mary Louvena Luck Skipper.

Survivors include: wife, Louvena Ann Skipper Johnson, Ozark; daughter, Elizabeth Brock (Johnny), Graceville, FL.; grandson, John Bryan Brock, Graceville, FL.; sister, Brenda Joyce Tomas (Kenneth), Atmore; sister-in-law, Laurie Skipper Dasinger, Panama City, FL.
