Meredith Blaire Minter Dixon, 59, a resident of Hartford, formerly of Mannington, West Virginia, died unexpectedly Friday, December 17, 2021 following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 27, 2021 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Father Steve Miller officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Matthias Anglican Church, 131 East Selma Street, Dothan, AL, 36301.

Mrs. Dixon was born November 18, 1962 in Richmond, Virginia, the daughter of George Blaire and Marianna Dickerson Minter. She earned her Master’s Degree in Library Science at Randolph Macon Women’s College in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was a librarian before becoming disabled. She was a Latin scholar and she did Latin and teaching work online as well as assist her Priest with his Latin pronunciations. Meredith was a member of St. Matthias Anglican Church.

Meredith is predeceased by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 31 years, James Dixon of Hartford; two cousins, Laurence and Bruce.
