Obituary for Michael Thomas Devine

Michael Thomas Devine, age 63, a resident of Dothan, went home to be with the Lord on February 4, 2021, at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 7, 2021, at Memphis Baptist Church with Reverend Jim Tate and Reverend Rick Glenn officiating. Burial will follow at Memphis Baptist Church Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to service. All masking and social distancing guidelines will be observed.

Flowers are being accepted or memorials may be made to the Wiregrass Area Food Bank, 382 Twitchell Road, Dothan, AL 36303.

Mike was born on January 4, 1958, in Birmingham to Thomas and Donna Woodward Devine and moved to the Wiregrass area at an early age. He was a 1979 graduate of Ashford High School. He worked at the John Conti Work Center for over 30 years. Mike enjoyed bowling and playing Miracle League Baseball. He represented Dothan in the International Special Olympics in 1991. He also enjoyed his time with the Friends Group. Mike loved watching Alabama Football and the Crimson Tideā€¦.ROLL TIDE! He was a member of Memphis Baptist Church.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, Tom Devine, maternal grandparents, J.H. Woodward, and Evelyn Trammell Woodward, and paternal grandparents, Rupert R. Devine and Eddie Nations Devine.

Survivors include his mother, Donna Woodward Devine of Dothan; a brother, Steven H. Devine (Krystal) of Dothan; nephews, Jon H. Devine (Candace) of Dothan and Jared Devine (Kalae) of Birmingham; three great-nieces and one great-nephew.

Pallbearers will be Jon Devine, Jared Devine, Steve Jordan, Keith Jordan, David Woodward, and Gary Glenn.
