Obituary for Reverend Olan Trawick
Reverend Olan Trawick, age 83, a resident of Daleville, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020, at Southeast Health Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, October 12, 2020, at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Philip Trawick and Brother Dennis Trawick officiating. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. All social distancing and masking guidelines will be observed.
The family will receive friends Monday from 9:45 am until 10:45 am prior to the services. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Children’s Home, 7771 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, FL, 32309.
Mr. Trawick was born May 22, 1937, in Ashford, AL to Elmer and Lola Mae Trawick. He was a minister of various Pentecostal churches for over 50 years in Georgia, Florida, Virginia and Alabama. He began a street ministry when he was 16. Mr. Trawick hosted The True Light Messenger Program, a gospel radio program, on WOOF radio.
Mr. Trawick is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Randy Trawick and Jimmy Trawick.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Ruby Trawick; two sons, Reverend Philip Trawick (Mary) of Prattville, Dennis Trawick of Slocomb; two daughters, Dianne Stuckey (Von) of Dothan, Karen Kelly (Kevin) of Dothan; two step sons Kynn Brown (Tonya) of Dothan, and Glynn Brown (Andrea) of Cottonwood; a step daughter Gwen Sawyer (Vernon) of Leesburg, GA; two brothers, Zolan Trawick of Prattville, Larry “Buddy” Trawick of Compass Lake, FL; three sisters, Ilona Jackson (Ted) of Daleville, Dean Braswell of Dothan, Joann Buntin (Greg) of Ashford; twenty-one grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Joshua Trawick, Jonathan Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Christopher Trawick, Kynn Brown, Glynn Brown, Bradley Naley and Zachery Green.
