Obituary for Ralph W. Farnum
Ralph W. Farnum, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at his residence. He was 96.
Mr. Farnum was born June 7, 1925 in North Stonington Connecticut and lived his early life there. After graduation he served in the U. S. Navy. He was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as postmaster for 30 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Farnum enjoyed wood crafting and was a volunteer at Landmark Park in Dothan for many years.
He is predeceased by his parents, Orra Augustus and Pearl Arline Woodbury Farnum, a brother who died in infancy, a brother, Robert Taft Farnum, and his first wife, Lorene Farnum.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy Lucille Farnum of Dothan; two sons, Nathan Farnum of Harrisburg, PA and David Farnum of Denver, CO; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
