Obituary for Shirley "Nan" Belk (Klocke)

Shirley Nan Belk, age 69, of Dothan, AL passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at Flowers Hospital after a brief illness.

Graveside services for family and friends will be held 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Pastor Tony Deese officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family wishes for everyone to remain safe and all masking and social distancing guidelines be observed. No visitation is scheduled.

Nan was born July 26, 1951 in Dale County to George J. and Annie Grace Baker Klocke. She was married to Bobby Lynn Belk, Sr. for 33 years. Nan was employed with Dothan City School System as a bus driver for 25 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Annie Grace Klocke, her husband, Bobby Lynn Belk Sr. and her sister, Brenda Faye Klocke Mills.

She is survived by two sisters, Sandra (Terry) Chancey of Ozark and Lisa (Glenn) Sorrells of Slocomb; her son, Bobby Jr. (Mari) Belk of Taylor; two grandchildren, Megan (Blake) Watson and Bobby III (Lanie) Belk; three great-grandchildren, Randy, Brantley and Charleigh Watson; several nieces and nephews, David (Lisa) Peters, Debbie Ingle, Donna (Chuck) Grantham, Greg (Cindy) Chancey and a host of other family members; a special friend, Diana Peters.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Belk, Jr., Bobby Belk III, Glenn Sorrells, Greg Chancey, Chuck Grantham, Judd Chancey, Jackson Chancey, and Blake Watson.
