Obituary for Susan Lacquement Renz (Gibson)
Susan L. Renz, of Dothan, passed away Friday night, January 1, 2021 at her home. She was 76.
Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Logos Baptist Church with the Pastor David Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Saturday prior to service time.
Susan was born October 16, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia to Dwight and Caroline Gibson and lived the early years of her life there. She and her husband resided in Virginia, New York, Missouri, Utah, Michigan, Washington, California, Texas, Arizona and Hawaii before moving to Dothan in 2012. In earlier years she was a hairdresser. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing and working on her pottery wheel. Susan was a member of Logos Baptist Church.
She is predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Leo and Charlie and two sisters, Dottie and Juanita.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ronald Renz of Dothan; ten children, Kim Strickland (Paul) of Missouri, Sherri McCarroll (David) of Washington, Michael Renz of Washington, Beverly Brown (Tom) of Oklahoma, Mathew Renz (Lisa) of Missouri, Rebecca Gawne-Mark (Sean) of Dothan, Timothy Renz of Pennsylvania, Elizabeth Barrett (Bradley) of Cambodia, Regina Kaupu of Dothan, and Faith McKendree (Malcohm) of Dothan; twenty-nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a brother, Randall Gibson (Bonnie) of Maryland; several nieces and nephews also survive.
