Obituary for Kade Ryker Dease

William Kade Ryker Dease, 29, passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2023, at his home in Dothan.

Kade was born in Dothan, Alabama on August 13, 1993. He graduated from Ashford High School in 2011 and then enlisted in the Alabama Army National Guard. After serving from August 2012 to March 2013, he returned home following a medical discharge. Kade attended college where he earned his degree and became a certified Alabama Medical Assistant in 2019, and completed his internship at Dothan Neurology, where his passion was phlebotomy.

He later went on to work and thoroughly enjoyed helping people on the other spectrum. Kade had most recently worked as a 911 operator with the Henry County Emergency Management Agency. Helping others was Kade’s most prized contribution to society during his short 29-year life. He made lifelong friends because of his nurturing and gentle compassion for those experiencing medical emergencies of all kinds.

Kade is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Kermit and Naomi Forrester; paternal grandfather, William Frank Haney and favorite uncle, Rex Quattlebaum.

Survivors include his mother, Regina Forrester Cox (Jesse); his father, Billy Dease; a brother, Kolby William Forrester (Sasha); grandparents, William and Mary Helen Forrester, Jimmy and Cathy Mathis, Danny and Starla Cox, Lorinda Forrester Quattlebaum and Stephanie Haney Crawford; aunts, Lorinda Forrester and Stephanie Crawford; special cousins, William Quattlebaum (Abby) and Raylen and Brooklyn Noelle.

A Celebration of his life and the opening of Kade’s Place will be held, Friday, February 17, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., at the residence of Regina and Jesse Cox (677 Junction Road, Slocomb, AL, 36375). The family invites friends and anyone who knew Kade to join them, as they say, “see you later.”
