Obituary for William Phillips Wiggins

Mr. William Phillips “Phillip” Wiggins, age 63, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, went home to his Lord, Thursday, January 2, 2020 at Southeast Health with his loving sister at his side.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2020 in the Sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church, 3012 W. Main Street, Dothan, with Rev. Rusty Milton and Rev. Rob Oates officiating. The family will receive friends in the Sanctuary at 1:00 p.m., immediately preceding the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
Phillip was born on April 26, 1956 in Dothan, the son of William Harold and Sarah Dell Wiggins. Upon graduation from Dothan High School he went on to receive a B.S. in Business from the University of South Alabama, and an M.S. in Business from Troy University. He was a life-long member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dothan. He worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a salesman, and then as a Products and Marketing Trainer for Roche Pharmaceuticals.
He was the author of Phillips Biotechnology Guides – A SeriesTM, composed of several training modules focusing on human therapeutics, diagnostics and corresponding disease states. He was also the President and Founder of PHARMSOUTH, a pharmaceutical consulting firm. He was an accomplished author, having been published in several pharmaceutical industry journals.
He enjoyed all aspects of the lake life at Compass Lake, Florida in his younger days. Most recently, he enjoyed his Community Bible Study group and his men’s luncheon group.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Sarah Dell (Phillips) and William Harold Wiggins.
Survivors include his sister, Sarah Jane Hatcher (Tim); two nephews, Hampton Skipper (Kari) and Hunter Skipper (Sarah), all of Dothan; one uncle, Richey Phillips, of Valley Head, Alabama, and three cousins, J.W. Weatherly of Huntsville, Alabama; Annettee Phillips Wadsworh (Howard) of Auburn, Alabama; and Clint Phillips of Mentone, Alabama.
