Charles Edward Fields, Jr., age 83, a resident of Dothan died Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Flowers Hospital.

Glover Funeral Home is in charge of cremation services, no memorial services will be held.

Charles Fields was born in Hazard, Kentucky. He was a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Air Force before becoming a Pipefitter in the Construction Industry in 1958 and joining Local 52 out of Montgomery, AL. Charles lived in Dothan for the past 10 years with his wife Barbara (of 45 years) after moving from Seagrove Beach, FL. He was a member of the VFW out of Pascagoula, MS. He was a lifelong fan of Alabama Football and Kentucky Basketball. Charles was a history enthusiast and computer whiz.

Charles leaves behind his "two girls" wife Barbara and daughter Stacey Fields Gates. Other survivors include: son-in-law, Joseph; sons Scott (Deanna) and Neal (Josephine) and five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.
