Rick and Madeline

Rick loved his niece, my 2 year old Madeline so much. He got to spend a lot of time with her over the last year, and she loved her uncle Rick tremendously. When he would walk by she would hug his legs, latching on to him. When he felt well enough, he would read books to her or do puzzles with her. He would put sunglasses and hats on her favorite stuffed animals and set them up in her play area for her to find the next day. He always talked about how much joy she brought him. I'm grateful that our little girl got to know her uncle Rick, and we will be keeping his memory alive through photos and stories.
